What is a class like at Mavir School?
How many subjects will students take?
The English Academy is one of Mavir School's three specialized academies. It is taught through live classes focused on real communication, comprehension and language practice, not just grammar theory, so that students use English fluently inside and outside the classroom.
The Technology Academy trains students in key tools for today's world: artificial intelligence, programming and robotics. The goal is for students not only to use technology, but to understand how to build and apply it.
It develops practical skills in business, personal finance and an entrepreneurial mindset — areas that are not usually part of a traditional school program.
When we talk about the Finnish methodology, we mean an education in which students play an active role in their own learning. Instead of just memorizing information, we want students to ask questions, research, experiment, connect different subjects and find solutions. At Mavir School we incorporate these principles through project-based learning and real-life situations, research, interactive content, gamification and activities designed to develop critical thinking and autonomy. This approach aligns with principles found in the Finnish education system, such as student-centered learning, inquiry and the development of cross-curricular competencies.
Our corporate office is located at 5145 S. Pecos Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89122, United States. However, Mavir School is a virtual school, so our classrooms, academic processes and educational services operate mainly online. This allows us to serve students in different countries without depending on a traditional physical campus. In each country where we operate, we work in accordance with the educational structure, registrations, authorizations and requirements that apply before the competent education authorities. Our investment is focused mainly on educational technology, methodology, platforms, teacher training, interactive content, playful resources, gamification and academic tracking.
No. Mavir School is designed as a virtual school, so its educational model is delivered mainly at a distance. Our academic program was created specifically for online education, with live classes, educational platforms, interactive content, gamification, academic tracking and technology tools that let students learn from anywhere. Although we may collaborate with in-person schools and institutions, Mavir School's own format is virtual.
The Mavir School uniform is optional. Students have the option of wearing the school T-shirt or uniform, but they are not required to wear it every day. To join classes we only ask that students be clean and dressed appropriately for a school environment, keeping a suitable appearance during their on-camera classes.
Mavir School has its own educational platforms for live classes, digital content, interactive activities and academic tracking. As an internal policy, we do not share the technical details of our infrastructure; what matters is that it is designed specifically to support high-quality online education.
The schedule varies according to the student's grade level. Your admissions advisor will confirm the schedule for your grade and country at the time of enrollment.
At Mavir School we accept students from preschool through high school, supporting them throughout their entire school career. The age of entry depends on the student's corresponding grade and academic background. Our admissions team reviews each case to place the student correctly within the program.
Mavir School is part of Monte Ararat School, a U.S. institution registered with the Florida Department of Education. That is the basis of the academic record and certification Mavir issues within the U.S. system. In addition, in several countries we offer the possibility of dual certification through agreements with local educational institutions, subject to each country's current regulations. Since this varies by country and may change over time, your admissions advisor will confirm the specific status for your country before enrollment.
Dual certification allows a student to keep their studies and academic records from their home country while building an academic record within the U.S. system. This means that, by meeting the corresponding requirements, the student can hold their national certification and U.S. academic documentation, including the possibility of earning a U.S. High School Diploma, subject to meeting the program requirements. Its main advantage is expanding the student's academic options, particularly if they later wish to pursue university studies in the United States or another country. The final equivalency or recognition of each document will always depend on the regulations of the country or institution where it will be used.
Although Mavir School is virtual, students don't study alone. Classes are live and there is constant interaction with teachers and classmates. Students take part in group activities, projects, dynamics, competitions and various social spaces. We have many testimonials from students who say they have built real friendships with their classmates, and have even made more friends at Mavir School than at their previous schools. Technology changes where socializing happens, but it doesn't eliminate social interaction.
Mavir School has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, discrimination and any behavior that affects a student's safety or dignity. One advantage of the virtual environment is that interaction takes place in supervised digital spaces, which allows teachers and academic staff to intervene when inappropriate behavior occurs. This does not mean we can guarantee that a conflict between students will never happen, but it does mean there are rules, supervision and procedures to detect, address and correct it.
